I’ve got in trouble before for mentioning the “C” word (CHRISTMAS) too early on this blog, but it’s a tricky one as we all get to hear about a lot of the incoming Christmas releases in July when they’re first announced, and obviously the first thing I want to do is share the releases I’m most excited about with you lot, but then again I totally get why you don’t want to be reading about Christmas whilst it’s 100 degrees outside and you’re planning your summer holiday! Therefore, I’ve put all the Christmas releases in a folder and held off for as long as possible which brings us to today where I’m going to do a looooong post on some of the fab products worth getting excited about. Going through these has really got me in the mood for Christmas, and as it’s just over 9 weeks away, hopefully you won’t think it’s too soon! Put it this way, in four days time we’ll be able to say “It’s Christmas next month”.
First up, let’s have a look at the Boots Christmas offerings (above) with my favourites being mostly make-up releases including the gorgeous eyeshadow palette from No7 that I can’t wait to get my hands on. The Boots Christmas lot are mostly sets and gifts with lots of fab stocking fillers as well as more upmarket sets, plus there’s some great Christmassy shades coming from No7.
Next is the Debenhams lot which is a massive collection of beauty goodies and specials, with my personal favourites being the make-up releases, although there’s plenty of lovely skincare from Elemis and Ole Henriksen. There are also some fantastic Models Own sets that are extremely well-priced, so if you’re shopping for a nail fan then definitely, *definitely* check those out.
Every year, Elizabeth Arden release a collection with a mahoosive value that can be purchased at a reduced rate alongside some of their other products and this year the collection is an absolute stunner with gorgeous shades that you will want in your life! It’s got a value of £330 but you can buy it for £50 if you purchase it with I think 2 other Arden products, but I might be wrong so don’t quote me! There’s also the usual Arden 8 Hour gift sets, so if you’re buying for an 8 Hour fan then here’s where to make some savings.
There are some lovely Mark Hill Christmas sets for this year, but I’m most excited about the new gadgets coming our way; Mark Hill is very good at creating products that add texture and volume and the two newest arrivals are the Wonder Ball – a round, spiky brush – and the Big Bun which sits under the hair to give it volume. There’s also some great new electric gadgets and I’m most keen to get my hands on the Flexi Hot Rods.
Out of all the Christmas events I attended this year, this is the one where I struggled to get the photos down to five as there is soooo much at Space NK to lust over, including some amazing Laura Mercier releases. There’s also Cowshed, This Works, Aromatherapy Associates, Nudestix and Lipstick Queen, all of which are just beautiful. I want them all!
Last but by no means least, we have The Body Shop. If you’re like me and you always anticipate at least one TBS gift to officially make it Christmas, you will not be disappointed as this is easily their best Christmas yet, by far. There’s a ridiculous amount of gift sets as well as a new scent launch (Glazed Apple) packed full of products – so if you like a sweet but not sickly apple scent then get very excited – plus a new take on their infamous Musk scent. On top of that you’ve got a gift set to meet every requirement, so if you can only be bothered to visit a handful of shops this Christmas, make sure you start here!
The majority of the Christmas launches should either be already out or arriving very soon. I’m so looking forward to Christmas this year!
