Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream is the newest member of the extremely popular Marc Jacobs Daisy fragrances, whilst also being my first experience of the infamous scent line. Daisy Dream is a beautiful fruity floral fragrance with lots of notes I absolutely adore. At the top there’s blackberry, grapefruit and pear, the heart notes are jasmine, lychee and blue wisteria and all these sit in the base notes of white woods, musk and coconut water.
The top notes suggest a sharpness but thankfully the pear and the lychee dominate the fruity element allowing the jasmine and blue wisteria to come through and remain the strongest notes. To me this is a comforting, easy fragrance that works for both day and night; it’s extremely pretty and feminine whilst remaining relatively grown-up and sophisticated, however those who don’t enjoy a floral fragrance will not be a fan. My all-time favourite perfume is Jo Malone Wisteria & Violet and whilst I won’t be putting it away any time soon, I’m certainly enjoying mixing things up with Daisy Dream and I’m finding myself reaching for it regularly. It’s a truly lovely scent housed in an equally lovely bottle, so it’s thumbs-up from me. Prices start at £38.50 for 30ml here – link.
