Here we have an extremely good collaboration between Glossybox and Harvey Nichols that has resulted in some seriously good brands being included; think Elemis, NARS, Laura Mercier and Benefit, plus many, many more; it’s an exciting box! The Glossybox Harvey Nichols Christmas Box is limited edition and packed full of eleven beauty goodies. If you fancy treating yourself or someone else to this extremely special box, but you don’t want to find out what’s included, look away now…
Impressive, no? There are too many products for me to detail them individually, so I’m grouped them into roughly associative categories. There are a couple of variants in the box, namely there might be OPI Avoplex instead of the polish, or a few different SHOW Beauty products which I’ll explain in more detail below.
First up, the product I’m most excited about is the NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien. It’s a slightly smaller version to the full-sized product at 1.7g compared to the more standard 2.2g size, but I so rarely get through lip products, therefore it won’t make a big difference to me. Next is a Benefit They’re Real mascara; I’m a fan of this mascara as it works amazingly well on my lashes so I’m always happy to receive it. The OPI polish in Viking in a Vinter Vonderland is a deep and inky purple that I am absolutely loving the look of. As I mentioned earlier, this might be subbed with OPI Avoplex instead. There’s also a decent sample size of the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer.
The hair products include the SHOW Beauty Dry Shampoo which I’m very much looking forward to trying as I always welcome a new dry shampoo, however, there are quite a few variants available throughout the boxes including the Volume Lotion, Volume Mousse, Finishing Spray, Texture Spary, Thickening Mist, Volumising Mist, Thermal Protect Lotion, Thickening Lotion, Pure Teratment Oil and Hair Fragrance. The fact that they have so many different volumising products has ensured they’re now firmly on my radar. There’s also a small Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment (very good for fine hair and it smells lovely) and a sachet of La Coupe Coconut and Macadamia Oil which is a treatment mask for hair.
Finally there are some pampering goodies in the shape of the Harvey Nichols Mini Scented Candle which comes in 4 variants – I have Party but there’s also Dining, Bathing and Sleeping and I kind of love the idea of candles designed specifically for the aforementioned purposes so I might have to pick up the set. There’s 5ml of the Rodial Bee Venom Moisturiser which I’ll be treading carefully with as I was allergic to bees as a kid, but it’s a great inclusion as this product has such a solid reputation. There’s a 5ml sample of the Dermalogica Overnight Repair Serum (full-size is only 15ml so I think a little must go a long way) and lastly 15ml of cult moisturiser Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream.
I am so impressed with this box! There really isn’t one brand in there that isn’t fabulous and pretty much everything will get some use. The Harvey Nichols Glossybox isn’t yet available, but you can register your interest here – link. It’s going to be £30 plus P+P for current subscribers or £35 plus P+P for non-subbers.
