For years I’ve heard amazing things about the Paula’s Choice range, but I’d always thought of it as an American brand that was tricky to track down in the UK. Then I got a press release updating on new arrivals for the brand and it turns out it’s very much available in the UK which is exciting news! If you’re a skincare junkie then I really recommend heading to the UK site and having a good nose around as there are sooo many amazing products to lust over, plus they do a sampling service so you don’t have to commit to big expenses until you’ve tried the product.
I had a wishlist the length of my leg once I’ve finished mooching through the site and the product I decided to start with is the Resist Weekly Resurfacing Treatment with 10% Alpha Hydroxy Acid, the AHA being Glycolic Acid. This a a weekly treatment that deeply exfoliates and can either be applied then rinsed of in the style of a mask, or you can apply a layer, leave it for a bit then carry on your evening skincare routine of serum and moisturiser; I think the former approach is best for anyone with delicate skin or those who’d like to tread carefully, but I jumped straight in with leaving it on under my skincare and I can report no ill effects.
This product is an amazing treatment that really works at exfoliating skin. You wake with smoother, brighter, clearer skin and this is very much like having a light peel without all the faff or stinging. This is one of the few products I’ll be continuing to use over the next couple of months whilst I’ve reduced my skincare routine for the Tria trial. I’m very excited to know more about Paula’s Choice products so keep your eyes peeled for future reviews. Check out the Resist Weekly Resurfacing Treatment here – link – for £31.25.
