A little while ago I had the pleasure of experiencing a facial with Antonia Burrell, which included the use of her newly launched Mask Supreme 7in1. It was tricky to assess a mask during a treatment that had so many elements, so, being the mask obsessive I am, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a pot of this to try at home. I really like the concept behind Antonia Burrell products as they’re all so meticulously formulated that I would describe them as ‘inclusive skincare’; by this I mean, the products that are designed to treat spots wouldn’t dry out dry skin types, whilst products designed to treat dryness wouldn’t make spots worse, meaning those of us with a multitude of different skin issues can use these products without trying to achieve a balancing act.
The Antonia Burrell Mask Supreme 7in1 is a total power mask in the truest sense. It provides a list of benefits including hydration, smoothing, detoxifying, repairing, clarifying, illuminating, protecting and perfecting so it’s a mask that pretty much any skin type would benefit from. It’s a kind of soft and creamy clay finish that doesn’t dry firm, and you can use it either in the traditional mask sense by applying it, leaving it on for 10 minutes and then removing it, or you can leave it for much longer and even overnight to reap the benefits. I love a mask that you can leave on without it getting overly dry or uncomfortable so this is a great choice.
I always make time for masks as they’re my little bit of me time that make me feel better and as if I’m doing something good for my skin. Consequently I have a lot of them – literally hundreds – and there is always a mountain of masks awaiting review. I’m mentioning this because even my very favourite masks don’t get used as often as I’d like, yet the Mask Supreme has had it’s third outing over the weekend in just a few weeks. It is a true wonder product that delivers on the majority of it’s promises (I can’t vouch for all of them – how do you know if your skin is protected or repaired?) with the big difference for me being just how much calmer my skin feels after use. I love the fact that it’s so hydrating yet spot-fighting too and skin is left feeling like it’s really been taken care of – plumper, smoother, hydrated and generally clearer-looking – all of which occurs in just half an hour. I absolutely rate this and I’m trying to slow down on using it so often as I don’t want to run out! It isn’t cheap at £57 for 50ml but honestly, if you just buy one mask etc etc. Find it here – link.
