Who doesn’t love a Kiko collection? Just when you think Kiko have released all the prettiness possible, we have Generation Next, a modern, fun and extremely pretty line of the usual feminine and mostly wearable shades.
The full collection consists of a new CC Cream Cushion Foundation – the next thing big thing in foundation which provides the benefits of a liquid foundation in the convenience of a cushion-soaked compact – available in six shades, £15.90 each, Masterpiece Bronzer for £14.90, Mosaic Blush in four shades, also £14.90, Mosaic Highlighter, again £14.90. For the skin there’s a Crystal Fusion Super Moisture Face Serum designed to brighten and hydrate for £15.90.
Eyes have two new arrivals; the Cool Touch Eyeshadow in in 8 shades for £8.90 a go and the Crystal Eyeliners in six shades for £6.90 a go. Two new arrivals for lips too; the Frosted Look Lipstick in six shades for £7.50 a pop and the Glassy Lipgloss in six shades for £7.90. Lastly there’s a Face Brush designed to work with the bronzers, blushers and highlighters for £15.90. Phew! Quite a collection.
I’ve been playing with a few bits and bobs and my favourites are the Cool Touch Eyeshadow (wearing in the picture) which I had in the shade Ingenious Taupe – a very cool, grey-leaning taupe – the Glassy Lipgloss (wearing in the picture) in shade 05 – a coral pink with gentle shimmer – and the Mosaic Blush (wearing in the picture) in Inspiration Rose Coral, the latter of which I didn’t expect to like, as even though it’s beautiful to look at, I thought it’d be too orangey red for me. However, as you can see in the swatches, it’s a lovely, gentle, pinky peach.
The Crystal Eyeliners are also gorgeous and highly pigmented with some great shades available. The two shades I have are 02 and 03 which are both very wearable nudes with a little bit of shimmer. I haven’t tried them on my inner eye yet, but I would say tread carefully as obviously the shimmer might prove a little uncomfortable so close to your eyeball! The strangely named Frosted Look Lipstick provides serious colour payoff and I really like the lipstick style tip. The colour I have is 03, a punchy coral. It’s a lovely collection with great packaging – so the usual from Kiko then! I’m not too sure when it launches as it doesn’t seem to be online yet, but it will be very soon.
