I remember hearing about the Laura Geller Balance ‘n’ Brighten Baked Foundation yonks ago and thinking it was right up my street; a multi-tonal powder foundation that colour-corrects, brightens and offers decent coverage without the overly chalky/matte formula? It’s like it’s been made for my skin!
There are five shades in available and I was sent Light, which as you can see is still far too dark for me. There is a shade lighter than this called Porcelain which I’ll try and get my hands on as the foundation itself is great, but it’s difficult to give a full review since the colour doesn’t match. The foundation is a creamy, smooth powder that comes with a brush. The brush itself works really well at applying and buffing the foundation in, and you can slide down the outer case to make the brush more dense for a higher coverage on tricky spots.
In the pictures above, the far far left I’m wearing colour-correctors and concealers, the middles is with the foundation on top and the right is full make-up. The Laura Geller Balance ‘n’ Brighten Baked Foundation lasts really well and the coverage stays true for a good 7-8 hours. If you’re particularly oily, you might want to carry it around and touch up after 7 hours but it isn’t absolutely essential. Interestingly this sat really well on my dry patches and didn’t make them look worse; a rarity for a powder product! It’s available now for the rather random price of £28.02 from QVC here – link.
