Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Naked Chocolate Palette

Makeup Revolution Naked Chocolate

What is it about a beautiful palette of eyeshadows that gets everyone going so easily? Is it just the excitement of such a high concentration of make-up in one portable collection? Or maybe it’s how it can get the creative juices flowing with the suggestion of possibility; think of all the looks you can create! Whatever it is, a wonderfully edited palette is something I will never tire of seeing, which is handy since Makeup Revolution appear to make a new one pretty much every week.

Makeup Revolution Naked Chocolate Palette

The Makeup Revolution Naked Chocolate Palette is a stunning selection of easy, flattering nudes with a good coverage of both warm and cool leanings.  This is the third “chocolate” palette from the I Heart Makeup collection – a diffusion line from Makeup Revolution – and this contains “stripped back” shades which to me means it’s likely to have the most universal appeal, as whether you like a bold eye or not, you’ll still need your basics to work around.

The things that’s really great about this palette is how much room to play there is – on the eye look I tried out for this post, I used five different colours, all of which blended together beautifully and worked to create more dimension.  This is a great set of shades for anyone who’s a bit crap with putting together eye looks as you can pretty much pair any of these shades together to make something rather lovely.

To be critical, I’d say one or two of the matte shades are a little chalkier than I’d like, but all of the shades blend down wonderfully and I am comparing these shadows to those you’d find in much more expensive palettes, with the results being almost completely equal other than that mild chalkiness.  The shimmer shades are astonishing; high pigment, no fallout and a great shade selection.

My favourites from the palette are Delight –  a slightly olive brown shade; Milky – a warm, reddy brown matte; Double Dip – a brilliant orange-leaning gold and Way – a shimmery champagne shade that works great for a quick bit of eye brightening.  I won’t bang on about the brilliance of Makeup Revolution as we all know by now that they’re a serious game-changer in the UK beauty market, so if you haven’t checked them out (and if you haven’t, where have you been?!) then start with this palette and you won’t look back.  The Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Naked Chocolate palette is £7.99 here – link.

It’s so funny you should say that as the day this arrived I spent the whole day craving Milky Bar, which of course I had to give into eventually…

It’s a fantastic palette – great value, great shades xx
