If you like your luxury skincare and you have a favourite wine of choice, then boy do I have a range for you! Vine Vera is a relatively young range of skincare that’s based around the anti-ageing super-ingredient, Resveratrol. Rather randomly, I’m quite familiar with Resveratrol as it’s found in a plant called Japanese Knotweed which I have in my garden. Knotweed is tough, robust and one of the hardest plants to kill (it can reduce the value of a property if found in close proximity – it’s that serious!) so whilst it isn’t something you want to find in your garden, it’s certainly something that can benefit your skincare routine which is why Vine Vera have harvested the benefits of Resveratrol, which is also found in grapes and wine.
The Vine Vera collection is a fun and comprehensive collection of treatments, serums, moisturisers and masks, all of which are themed around particular wines. To give you an idea, the Zinfandel range contains a serum, a cream and a mask that are all designed to illuminate and boost radiance. Sauvignon Blanc contains a cream, a sheet mask and a contour product for tightening the chin, neck and chest areas. The Chianti range is for skin recovery and contains a night and day treatment as well as a mask. There are also products formulated specifically for the delicate eye area including a a Dark Circle Treatment and a Firming Eye Complex as well as an Eye Collection. The boys aren’t left out either, with a serum, a shave balm and a mask to cater for the specific needs of male skincare too.
As you’d expect, I zoned straight in on the mask treatments as I can rarely resist a good mask! The masks come beautifully presented with spatulas for application in gift-style boxes. The jars are weighty and luxurious looking which matches the high price point of the Vine Vera range. As you’d expect, products with such carefully constructed formulations do come with a high price tag, but if you see skincare as an investment and want to spend on proven ingredients such as Resveratrol then Vine Vera is well worth a look.
