Fair play to purse-friendly brand MUA for releasing what can only be described as a cracker of a collection for their Spring 2015 release – I’m literally lusting over all of it! There’s a lot of new releases (check them all out here – link) including some very exciting colour-correctors – and we all know how I feel about a good colour corrector – as well as six extremely pretty shades of Sweet Sheen Lip Balms that I will definitely be picking up on my next visit to Superdrug.
There are 10 products forming the MUA Luxe Whipped Velvet collection, 5 lip colours and 5 corresponding blushers, the latter of which I’ve been having a play with and I am happy to report that they are every bit as lovely to use as they look!
The MUA Luxe Whipped Velvet Blushes come in screw-top lids with clear tops so you can see the colour. They fit together well so there’s no scraping of product if you don’t line it up properly or hurriedly screw it back together.
The product itself is a very interesting texture; it’s a light, bouncy cream that’s a little akin to the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousses, however these are a little less dry in texture with a lighter finish. The great thing about these is that they can be built-up, so you can add a tiny hit of sheer colour, or a strong pop depending on what you fancy.
There’s also a good colour selection within the five shades, including two pinks (Rococo and Hedonic), a nude (Spry) a coral (Chichi) and a berry (Ritzy). My favourite is probably Hedonic and Ritzy which are both lovely, bright shades that I personally enjoy most as a sheer wash of colour. I apply these by tapping two fingers on the blush then tapping it into my cheeks, repeating until I have the desired finish. I’m really, truly impressed with the MUA Luxe Whipped Velvet Blushers and I really recommend them if you’re looking for a good quality, easy-to-use cream-to-powder blush at the stonking price of £3 a pop here – link.

Ha! 😀 They’re soooo good though! I can pretty much guarantee you won’t be disappointed, just get swatchy with them first to find a shade you like as they’re quite different in the pan to how they are on the skin xx
