Occasionally Birchbox release a special, limited edition box on top of their monthly subscription boxes and they’re always jam-packed full of goodies. This collaboration with Tatler is no different – it’s got a bit of everything making it a very affordable way of quickly updating your Spring/Summer beauty routine.
The Tatler/Birchbox collab box contains six products, five of which are pictured here – what’s missing is the Percy & Reed London Big, Bold & Beautiful Dry Instant Volumising Spray which I was so eager to try that I removed from the box and then of course forgot to add it back when taking the pictures.
The most intriguing product in the box for me was the Dr Jackson’s Natural Products Face Oil 03. I love minimalist, apothecary-style packaging and this one couldn’t get more minimalist, as you can see. It’s gone straight into my skincare queue so I’ll definitely be trying it soon.
Next is the Aromatherapy Associates Renewing Rose Body Cream which is one of the best rose scents available – I have quite a few minis from the range and I always welcome more as the scent is so pretty and invigorating. I’ll be moving soon (I think I’ve been saying that for about a year now, but it will happen) to somewhere with a bath, so it’s safe to say the whole bath will have a bit of an Aromatherapy Associates theme happening as I can’t get enough of them for relaxation.
There’s a generous sized Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish along with a muslin cloth included too, which is a great addition to anyone’s beauty kit. I very rarely use anything other than a balm, oil or cream to cleanse with now as I find my dehydrated skin responds best to this type of gentle cleansing, and, like many, the Cleanse and Polish was the first hot cloth cleanser I ever tried.
The Bamford Geranium Hand and Body Wash is nice enough and smells quite neutral, so it’s a good one for the whole house to use. It’s low on my list as it isn’t getting me as excited as the other box inclusions, but it’s a handy product, especially for hand washing.
Lastly, and this might come as a surprise to some, it’s the Ciate Paint Pot. It’s low on my list purely because it isn’t a shade I’m likely to try – it’s Maybe Baby – as in the pot it looks a little too brown for me. Having said that, I’m trying really hard to expand my nail horizons lately and try out colours that I wouldn’t normally give the time of day to, so I might add this to the list…we’ll see! It’s a great general inclusion though, especially if there are other colours being sent out.
