Models Own Icing Collection

I think I’ve said this before but I find it pretty amazing just how many new collections Models Own manage to put out on a yearly basis – how do they think them all up?! The latest arrival is the Icing Collection, which is a selection of five pretty pastels to get your nails spring- ready.

The five shades in the Models Own Icing Collection are Pink Icing, Peach Icing, Mint Icing, Lilac Icing and Nude Icing – they’re all pretty self-explanatory so I won’t patronise you with a description of each shade!

I was sent three shades to try, Lilac Icing, Mint Icing and Nude Icing and my favourites are a toss-up between Lilac Icing – a surprisingly vivid light purple and Mint Icing – a lovely, fresh green that I think will be very popular.  Models Own do great greens, don’t they?

Nude Icing is also nice, but it’s a little too brown for my tastes.  Calling the collection ‘Icing’ is spot-on as that’s very much how the finish looks – it’s glossy but a kind of muted glossy; if you can imagine the finish of icing on a cake then you’ll know what I mean.  I’ve taken pictures of the swatches straight on and at an angle so you can see the gloss level.  The Models Own Icing Collection is available now at £4.99 a go here – link.
