Vichy have completely nailed it with their Ideal Soleil BB Tinted Velvety Cream, which goes above and beyond it’s packaging promises by providing a multitude of benefits, thus living up to the true definition of a BB product. The main reason I started using it is because I’m always keen to find a decent and high SPF, and this one has an SPF50. However, it’s become a lot more than just an SPF for me.
On it’s own, it’s an illuminating, glow-giving, hydrating product that’ll provide a hint of coverage, but mostly just enhances skin and is almost like a small hit of fake tan, in that it leaves skin looking warmed up. Under make-up it’s the most perfect base, ensuring skin looks smooth and again hydrated so that make-up sits happily on top without any cakiness or dry patches, all the while providing an SPF50. How fantastic is that?
For someone with skin like mine, this doesn’t give enough coverage, although it does tone down redness and even out skintone, so if you only need a light coverage then this BB will give you everything you need in one simple product. For me, this is a godsend as it’s one of the few products that’s given me my glow back – I’ve had terribly dry-looking and dehydrated skin lately and this gives my skin a wonderful dewiness paired with warmth that I really, really like, alongside a nice and high SPF , making this a seriously winning product. It’s RRP is £15.50 but it’s currently reduced at Escentual for £13.15 here – link.
