I’m fortunate enough to be invited for regular cut and colour treatments, so I don’t often get the chance to do my own colour at home, but if anything’s going to persuade me to give it a go, it’d be the eSalon Bespoke At-Home Hair Colour treatment which is one of the smartest developments in beauty I’ve seen in quite a while!
As the name suggests, it’s a fully home based hair colouring process, but the big pull is that you start off by registering with the site and then answering an extremely detailed questionnaire on hair colouring. You’re then given the option to send your picture off to the team of colourists behind the service to help get your hair colour exactly right.
The final question in the form is what you expect to achieve with your home colour, which I think is such a sensible question to include as it gives the colourists a good idea of what you have in mind to be the finished result, so they can advise accordingly. Once you’ve done all of this and you feel happy with the colour you’re going to order, it’s then put together and sent to you so you can get applying.
Now the big question, how much does such a fully bespoke program cost? It’s £18 (plus £3.95 p+p) which I think is such fantastic value. Even better, if you set up a subscription then the cost goes down to £14. Estelle Baumhauer, the Colour Director of eSalon says “It is exciting for me to make great professional colour available to all women, not just to women of means”, which I personally think is such a fantastic philosophy and business approach! I have yet to color my hair. I have kinky hair and I have heard that dying it is a nightmare. But thanks for the info 🙂
Wow, that sounds great! Getting your hair colored at a salon can be very pricey, so I prefer to color hair at home. I will definitely be utilizing this information, thank you!
It’s such a great idea isn’t it? No probs at all 🙂
