If Sisley Eau Tropicale was my Summer Scent for 2014, then Roberto Cavalli Paradiso is my 2015 Summer fragrance, as it really does smell like a holiday in a bottle – there we have a total cliché, but it’s true. I absolutely love a true, floral fragrance, but when it comes to evoking memories of sandy beaches, balmy evenings and waves lapping against the shore, I prefer a mix of both floral and fruit to induce these images.
Thankfully, Paridiso has that covered with base notes of pine and cypress alongside opening notes of bergamot and mandarin alongside key citruses, and of course, what’s at the very heart of the fragrance? Jasmine! It’s as if the creators have taken my typically favourite notes and given them a Summery twist. I love this scent and even though it’s definitely seasonal, it’s one that I feel compliments the current, balmy, British weather as it’s strong, vibrant, fun and sophisticated, yet it’s still light enough for the sunnier days. It’s also quite buildable which makes ideal for day or night, meaning it’s the perfect Summer Holiday fragrance all-round. It’s available with prices starting at £37 for 30ml, going up to £65 for 75ml.
