The Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque has such a huge, cult following so I couldn’t wait to get it on my face to find out what all the fuss is about. There is something just so wonderful about this style of packaging; I can’t put my finger on it but I think it’s just that it’s quite a bit different to typical skincare packaging, plus it has that apothecary vibe that makes it fun to play with.
The Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque is a deep cleansing mask for those who don’t like more traditional, clay-type masks. I’d say this is all the good stuff that you’d get from a clay mask, such as that slightly “sucked skin” feeling as if the product is pulling out all the nasties, easy and smooth application and effective soak-up of any oiliness, but what you don’t get is the horrid dryness or the nightmare battle of removal that often comes with clay masks.
This is such a lovely product that leaves skin feeling very clean without any hint of dehydration, so I get why people love it so much. It dries (and therefore works) quickly – if you look in the picture above you can see it had started to dry in certain parts already, and the picture was taken immediately after application – so it can be a very easy and quick mid-week mask if your skin is feeling congested and in need of a deep clean. I’d say all but the very sensitive or very dry would get on well with this. It’s £27 here – link.
