I’m really loving sleeping masks at the moment, and I think they’re a particularly great find for dehydrated spot-prone skin types as they’re rich and very nourishing, yet they don’t seem to break me out, so they’re a real find! My love for sleeping masks has been speedily reignited thanks to the rather wonderful Bio-Essence Hydra Tri-Action Aqua Droplet Sleeping Beauty Mask, which has an insanely long name, a rather gimmicky premise, yet it’s a truly awesome product.
Every weekend I put a bit of time aside to do an at-home facial, which usually consists of the triple threat of exfoliating, purifying then hydrating masks, with a prequel of a deep cleanse and the involvement of various gadgets to help the process further. I had an amazing facial last week, so I didn’t need a full on TT facial at-home, therefore I just used an exfoliating mask followed by this hydrating one left on over night. It’s got lots of selling points, but the two big ones for me are the fact that it’s got two types of hyaluronic acids – so lots of good hydration for any skin type – and it’s water-rich, which is something all dehydrated skins are struggling with. This has so much water in it that as you’re rubbing it in, it starts to drip off (it isn’t actually a watery product, more of a gel) so I can see why, on waking the following morning, my skin feels unbelievably hydrated, plump, firm and like it’s been deeply nourished. There’s also a jazzy little water-droplet-forming gimmick (you apply it to the skin and as you rub, water droplets form – a lot like the appearance of condensation) but I have no idea whether this is actually beneficial to your skin or not, but at the least it’s very cool…and cooling! I’ll be reaching for this mask regularly for a deep hit of hydration that my skin absolutely loved. It’s another star Cult Beauty find for £29 here – link.
