New Clinique Eye Makeup Launches

Bright, colourful eye makeup is pretty popular at the moment, and if anyone is going to make a notoriously tricky look wearable and easy to work with, it’s going to be Clinique; cue their newest eye makeup launches! There are four new launches in total: Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara, Pretty Easy Liquid Eyeliner Pen, Just Browsing Brush-On Styling Mousse and Skinny Sticks.

Just Browsing Brush-On Styling Mousse

Starting with the Just Browsing Brush-On Styling Mousse, which you may not be able to tell by the name is actually a brow mascara. It looks a lot like the Benefit Gimme Brow – a product I depend on almost daily – and to be honest there’s not a lot of difference between the two, as they’re both dinky sized with matching dinky brushes that add colour, definition and hold to brows.  There are four colours available – Soft Blonde, Soft Brown, Deep Brown and Black/Brown – and I have Soft Brown which is a very good match for me, so I would assume the Soft Blonde shade is probably very fair.  This is slightly cheaper than its Benefit counterpart at £16 here – link.

Clinique Skinny Sticks

Next up are the new liners, starting with the Pretty Easy Liquid Eyeliner Pen (not pictured) which is apparently a very easy to use, brush-style liquid liner that’s both mistake and smudge proof.  It’s available in Black and Brown, and I love brush-style liners so I’ll likely pick up either (or both!) shades soon.  It’s £19 here – link.  The Skinny Sticks are probably the launch most people are excited about, and with good reason! These are highly pigmented, creamy liners that auto-sharpen and are available in an impressive 12 shades including a bright yellow and an olive shade that looks stunning. The three shades I have are Angel Hair (white), Skinny Jeans (muted navy) and Lanky Lapis, which is a beautiful, rich teal shade.  I am all over teal at the moment thanks to this liner and the mascara below, as it’s such a great shade for adding the gentlest hint of colour that catches the light.  I wore the liner and mascara together yesterday and I felt just on the right side of bold with my colour choices! The liners are £15 each here – link.

Clinique Lash Fattening Mascara

Finally on to my favourite of the new launches, which is the Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara.  People rave about Clinique mascaras, yet I’ve never really found ‘the one’ that’s made me want to keep using it, but I will say that I’ve reached for this one more than any other since it arrived.  There are four shades of this new volumizing formula that comes with a chubby brush for big lashes, and the shades are Jumbo Jet (black), Two Ton Teal (deep green), Massive Midnight (deep navy) and Bodacious Black Honey, which is like a deep rusty purple shade that is yet ANOTHER thing I want from the new launches.  I have Jumbo Jet and Two Ton Teal and Jumbo Jet hasn’t even had a look-in as I’ve been obsessing over Two Ton Teal which gives the perfect hint of colour for colour-phobes.  I’ll be doing a feature shortly on various ways to try out the coloured mascara look, so keep your peepers peeled for that.  The Chubby Lash mascaras are £17.50 here – link.  What a fantastic selection of new launches – there are so many shades I want to add to my collection and I just love the fact that they’re all so wearable!
