Happy Tuesday everybody! I hope your Bank Holiday was awesome. Mine was spent mostly eating terribly unhealthy food, working my way through the Mad Men Box Set (how hot is Jon Hamm? I didn’t understand the appeal in Bridesmaids, but I’m very much won over in Mad Men – I bet he’s reading this and is absolutely thrilled…) and napping! For the second week in a row I’m featuring a Tigi product in my Quick Pick Tuesday series, which I think might be the first time that’s happened, but Tigi are producing some great products lately, so it’s well deserved.
Tigi Bed Head Joyride is a really interesting product as it’s a serum version of texturising powder. I love texturising powder as I think it’s such a quick and easy way to add oomph and movement to hair that’s prone to hanging there and doing nothing, but I do find the powder element quite messy, so as soon as I clocked was Joyride was, I gave it a go, and I’ve used it on every hair wash since. You can use it on dry hair in a similar way to the powder – empty some into your hand and work it through your hair – or you can use it on damp hair in place of other styling products as a booster for fine or limp hair. I’ve used it both ways, but my favourite is the latter, as if you’re short on time, you can work this into just-washed hair, give it a good scrunch and leave it to dry. You’ll then have hair that’s lightly tousled with gutsy movement, which is pretty much my perfect hair! It launches today for £16.95, however it doesn’t seem to be online anywhere; I’ll update as soon as it starts showing up.
