Glam Jasmine by Michael Kors is an absolute stunner of a jasmine scent, with a simple note formation of just four strong scents – jasmine and white flowers (obvs), cassis and sandalwood, and the combination of these four makes for a truly beautiful jasmine-led fragrance.
Jasmine can be quite a sharp scent – you need to really, really love it to enjoy it on it’s own – so Glam Jasmine has managed to soften that sharpness whilst still maintaining the euphoric sweetness that jasmine, as a note, creates. The cassis and sandalwood add just enough earthiness to keep this fragrance sophisticated and grown-up – I do think a lot of fragrances make the mistake of sweetening jasmine to the point where it quickly becomes a sickly crowd-pleaser, but that hasn’t been done with Glam Jasmine.
