I started the year looking at some of the products I’m most excited to get my hands on this year, and so many of them were from Clinique, so I thought I’d put together a post to show you what we have to look forward to. There are extension products for some of our favourite lines, such as the glorious Chubby range and lots more Colour Pop joy. Starting with the product that’s already here and the only skincare product I’m featuring, which is the new Superdefense Night Recovery Moisturizer, a product that’s designed to strengthen skin’s moisture barrier and aid cellular recovery. It comes in two variants, Combination Oily/Oily and Dry/Dry Combination. I have the latter which is rich, nourishing and works quickly to really hydrate overnight. Expect a full review soon, but in the meantime, you can find it here – link – for £42.
In the next few days we’ll see the arrival of the much-coveted Sweet Pots, which are gorgeous little macaroon-inspired duos of scrubs and lightly tinted lip balms that are the definition of girliness. Again, I’ll be posting a more detailed overview of these shortly, so I won’t go into too much detail now, other than to say that there are six flavours, they’re £15 each, they launch nationwide on the 15th but you can find a limited stock of them at Debenhams – link.
The Clinique Pop Lips have become one of my all-time favourite lipsticks as they really hit the spot with regards to colour payoff, colour choices and formula, so I cannot wait for the March launch of the Pop Lacquer Lip Colour + Primer, which I believe is a liquid lipstick type product that’ll provide the same benefits of the original Pop Lips, but in a more glossy, liquid finish. These launch in March for £16.
Another new addition to the Pop family is the gorgeous Lid Pops, a collection of eight eyeshadow singles with the same floral embossing that the Cheek Pops have. There are some truly stunning shades (I’m most excited about Grape Pop – a plummy purple, Willow Pop – an antique sage and Cream Pop a mid champagne) although I have no idea when we’re getting these as they’re not even out in America yet . Check out the swatches here – link.
Finally, the Chubby in the Nude Foundation Sticks are extremely exciting! I’ve always wondered if a Chubby Foundation was in the making (a Chubby Concealer would be awesome too!) so I really hope we get these ASAP, as they’re already out in the states. They’re multi-use, moderate-to-high coverage and available in ten shades, so assuming we get the same thing here, it’s going to be a very exciting launch!
There we have it! A little look at what to expect from Clinique this year. Having had a good nose around, there are some other great colour launches coming from the brand, plus, presumably, they’ll add to their skincare portfolio too, so it’s going to be a very exciting year for Clinique!
