As a rule, I tend not to recommend impulse buying beauty (any more…) as I rarely end up purchasing anything that goes the distance, instead favouring things that are pretty, impractical, and generally novel. However, I’m pretty happy with my recent Sephora binge, which contained the usual pink lip products (what is wrong with me?! How many pink lipsticks do I need? SERIOUSLY?!) as well as some lovely gel blushers and a concealer. Only two brands feature, the Sephora brand itself and Kat Von D, both of which we need here as they are both fantastic brands that I find very exciting.
I took advantage of the Sephora sale and snapped up a couple of sets, first of which is the Luster Matte Long-Wearing Lip Colour Duo, which contains a pair of beautifully bright matte, liquid lipsticks in Magenta and Scarlet. I haven’t tried these yet, although I’m off to an event today so I think I might put one of them to the test to see how it lasts. These are usually $16 each, but the duo is still in the sale for $20 here – link – which works out at around £14.30.
The second Sephora set I went for is the Make You Blush! Colorful Cheek Ink Gel Trio, which is pretty self-explanatory – it’s a trio of gel blushers in colour pop shades of Peony, Dahlia and Lotus, which were presented in a Christmas Cracker – how amazing would this have looked hanging from a Christmas tree? I got completely suckered in by the packaging here, but for $10, which worked out at about £7, you can’t go wrong really, can you? Here it is – link.
Being a Temptalia addict, I could not have been more excited to get my hands on the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks, which are a little bit like Too Faced Melted Lipsticks in texture, but these are applied in a more traditional liquid lipstick form, and they dry to an extremely matte finish. You apply, get them looking neat and smooth, then leave them for a minute, then they set to a phenomenally matte and pigmented finish – the formula is very impressive, as is the shade range. I went for two pinks (shocking), Jeffree, the peachier one below and Melancholia, the bluer one at the top. I will be adding more of these to my next Sephora order as they are fab. You can find them here – link – for $20 a pop which works out at roughly £14.30 each.
Finally, I went for a Sephora Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer as I thought it sounded interesting – I’m always suckered in by a concealer, especially if it has a fancy name – and the shade range is pretty amazing! I pretty much always go for the lightest shade when blind-buying, but as there are so many shades available, I took a risk and went for the second to lightest shade which is Meringue, and it’s a perfect match for me. This is a lovely concealer that’s pigmented, creamy without being too rich and works on both blemishes and under the eyes. Man, we need Sephora here! This bargain is $14 which works out at roughly £10 here – link. You also get to pick some samples to add to your order and I went for some from Boscia, a brand I’ve heard good things about but not yet tried – I picked a cleanser and a mask. I have a feeling this is going to be the first of many Sephora binges as they have so many great brands that are tricky to source over here, so I’ve joined Beauty Insider and I’ve already started putting together my next order…

I’ve noticed lots of beauty bloggers order their Sephora hauls from the US – is it much better than ordering online from France? Thanks
To be honest, I think it’s because the American Sephora has a lot more ranges that we don’t have easy access to over here, which I don’t think can be said for the French one unfortunately.
I too love Temptalia and Sephora! I have the Sephora Lip Gels in Pomegranate Delirium and Queen Bee. Bite Beauty is gorgeous too! I do a Sephora haul once a month lol x
I was so close to picking up something from Bite – they were available here a while ago and I thought they were fab! I’m still putting together my next order but I fear this is going to be a costly relationship 😉 xx
