New Clinique Make-up Launches (March 2016)

Oh gosh there is so much gorgeous newness from Clinique that I’m actually mentally preparing myself to avoid all counters for a little while until I’ve worked my way through some of my current collection, as I know I’m going to be far too tempted! I’m also very lucky to have a PR friend who knows me extremely well, as check out the colours I was sent…could they be more me?! There are three main new colour launches that are being added to the ever-expanding and completely glorious Colour Pop Line, so let’s have a look at what’s new:

There are two new lip launches, starting with the one that I think most people will navigate towards, which is the Clinique Pop Lacquer Lip Colour + Primer.  These are the glossier, sexier sisters to the original Pop Lip lipsticks, as these are lipstick/gloss hybrids that offer a full and complete colour payoff in a lipgloss application.  These are rich, glossy and beautifully pigmented, plus the initial launch colours are perfect, with a great mix of nudes, pinks, brights and berries.  The two above are Sweetie Pop (left) and Go Go Pop (right) and I will pretty much definitely be adding Wink to the collection too.  These are £16 here – link.

The new Clinique Lid Pops are presented in the same floral embossed powder form as the original Cheek Pops which I remember everyone went crazy for, so the arrival of the Lid Pops should evoke a similar level of excitement! There are eight shades to start with, that again cover a good mix from pale nudes, to deep vampy shades, along with some great brights in the middle.  The shades I have are Vanilla Pop – which is a pale, shimmery, highlighter shade and Willow Pop, which is a gorgeous khaki shade; I love anything khaki for the eye, and Willow Pop is spot-on.  These are £15 each – link.

You know how I like to save the best ’til last, so I’ve done it again here, saving the new Clinique Pop Glaze Sheer Lip Colour + Primers.  These are going to be my undoing (and the reason I need to avoid Clinique counters) as these are just perfect; hydrating, glossy, pretty, sheer but with a surprisingly good payoff…they’re just beautiful! Of course the shade I perved over most of all is Bubblegum Pop – one of the most perfect pinks I’ve come across in quite a while – but there are five other shades, and to be honest I wouldn’t kick any of them out of bed.  These are £16 here – link – and you need at least one in your life.  I need at least four.
