The May 2016 Glossybox is a bit of a mixed bag, with a couple of great products alongside a few ‘meh’ bits. I believe other boxes are getting Invisibobbles though, so that’s definitely something! There’s a fairly good mix with a couple of make-up items, a couple of skincare and something for the body too.
The box is designed by OMY and features sketches of either London, New York, Paris or Berlin and I really like the design, although I have an irrational desire to colour it in! Whilst the Glossybox May 2016 isn’t overly exciting, there are a couple of goodies that I’m excited about, both of which are full-sized. With that in mind, let’s have a look at what’s included:
The product I’m most excited about is the Absolute New York Velvet Lippie which is a gorgeous, pink shade that couldn’t be more up my street. I don’t know if everyone’s getting different shades as I’ve lost my box insert, but there are some great ones available in the range – this one is Lolita. Next up is the Revlon UltraVolume Mascara, which is the one I got in my box, but actually I believe everyone’s getting a different one out of the five new mascaras that Revlon recently released. I actually have all five, so expect a detailed review soon!
The Hawaiian Tropic Dry Oil (SPF15) was a nice enough inclusion – the smell alone took me back about 15 years – and I like the fact that it’s dinky sized making it ideal for travel, although I’d recommend plonking it in a plastic bag just in case. The Bee Good Plump & Firm Moisturiser is another product that’s fine, just not very exciting for me as I have soooo many moisturisers at the mo, but anyone who’s looking to try a new one would do well with this one as I’ve only read (bee) good things. Finally, the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is the product I’m, personally, the least excited about, since this ended up giving me some seriously nasty breakouts. Having said that, people really do rave about this cleanser being one of the best for breakout-prone skin, with many dermatologists recommending it, but for me it’s a no-go! Glossybox May 2016 is available now with prices starting at £10 (plus P&P) a month.

I don’t get along with Cetaphil either! I read that Caroline Hirons says that it can be drying. CeraVe is supposed to be better, altho I haven’t tried it, personally x
It’s so widely recommended too! xx
I broke out as soon as I used the Cetaphil once 🙁 I wish the lippie had have been in a shade that suited me. I got an SPF30 lotion instead of the dry oil x

I’m hearing that so often! Sorry you didn’t get a better box 🙁 xx
