The Too Faced Mascara Melt Off is a perfect example of the sort of product that makes total sense, and you wonder why it hasn’t been invented sooner; a mascara-style product that contains cleansing oil instead of mascara that you wipe along the lashes to start work on dissolving mascara before you start your cleansing routine. This means that when you’re ready to start make-up removal, the mascara has been broken down by the oil, thus minimising the amount of rubbing and effort involved in removing it. See what I mean? Just brilliant!
The concept is fabulous, but does it actually work? In a word, “yes”, and it really is very simple and effective. I apply it in literally the same way as you do a mascara, by running the wand a long the lengths of the lashes, and I do so as soon as I sit down to start cleansing, then I get all my bits ready to start my routine and by that point I’ve allowed the oil a minute or so to start breaking down the mascara, then when I involve the cleanser (which at the moment is a micellar, but this works just as well with wash-off types) mascara is ready to be wiped away with a lot less effort than if I were to rely solely on a make-up remover alone. The big selling point, for me, is the fact that this is minimising the amount of rubbing I need to do on my eyes, since this is such a delicate area and I do wear a lot of eye make-up, so I find it very reassuring that this product is allowing me to do less rubbing on a daily basis, which is much kinder to the sensitive skin. I think the Too Faced Mascara Melt Off remover will also last quite a while, making it well priced at £14, and you can buy it here – link.
