I really like the L’Occitane Pivoine Sublime collection so I was happy to hear news of new additions to the line. The three new products focus on the cleansing aspect of skincare, so I was really keen to get stuck-in, yet inexplicably, I photographed them all, put them in a box and forgot all about them until about a month ago when I realised I hadn’t even tried them. As soon as I realised my error, I got stuck straight in, so here’s a little review of each of the three new products.
The first of the newbies is the Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Makeup Remover, a light and refreshing cleanser that I would describe as a micellar gel, as it’s got that watery, gentle feel to it, yet it melts through make-up quickly and easily – especially eye make-up (and stubborn mascara!) which makes it ideal for a first cleanse to remove make-up at night. If you’re not one for doing a thorough cleanse in the morning you could definitely get away with using this as a quick pre make-up cleanse too. It’s £19 here – link.
The Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Toner is a nice enough product that leaves skin feeling lightly hydrated and works well as a finisher after a good cleanse or mask. It’s the sort of product that does the job with a pretty scent and matching packaging, but it’s definitely my least favourite of the three. having said that, if you’re looking for a gentle, softening toner, this is a lovely one and not too pricey at £15 here – link.
If you fancy treating yourself to just one product from the new arrivals, I strongly suggest going for the Pivoine Sublime 2-in-1 Perfecting Scrub, as this is the one that’s quite unlike anything else I have in my collection; it’s kind of like a gentle exfoliating scrub housed within a balm that feels amazing on the skin and moves around with such comfortable slip, that you’ll give yourself a facial massage without even realising it, and as it contains tiny, light, scrubby bits, during the massage you’ll also be lightly buffing your face too. I use this one regularly when I’ve already met my quota of weekly scrubs but I still pine for that “freshly scrubbed skin” feeling. This is £19 well spent for a bit of indulgence and comfort in a product that leaves skin feeling loooovely – find it here link.
Sounds and looks a lovely collection and not too pricey x
