The full IT Cosmetics range is pretty mega, and we’re being drip-fed it slowly, with every few weeks seeing one or two new arrivals being added to the QVC UK site. At first I found that a bit annoying, being an impatient beauty lover who WANTS IT ALL RIGHT NOW, but actually it’s quite exciting, as every few weeks a couple of new products launch and they get full focus, rather than swallowed up by the mass collection. I really, really like IT Cosmetics as they produce products that not only deliver on skincare benefits, but aso are designed to enhance and flatter, so you always end up with a very pretty finish, which is perfectly exemplified by the new Your Most Beautiful You Face Disc.
The It Cosmetics Your Most Beautiful You Face Disc contains three powders that are “suits all” which I always think should be reinterpreted as “suits most”, as I’m not sure how very dark skin would get-on, although as a very pale skin tone I can vouch for it working for the very pale. The palette is a good, sturdy disc that’s split in half, with one side containing the bronzer and the other side containing the blusher and highlighter which are split into quarters. There’s also a really good mirror which is very handy for application and I would say will make travelling with this pretty easy, although I will point out that the blusher in mine smashed from gentle wear at home, so the powders themselves might not travel well…or I might’ve just been unlucky.
I really, really like the powders as they’re a great consistency; all of them have a slightly gleaming, buttery texture that makes the finish so natural and pretty. More importantly, the shades themselves are lovely too, with the bronzer being a good take on bronze that’s ever-so-slightly warm without verging into “muddy blusher” territory. The highlighter is a champagne shade that glimmers rather than glitters and blends with skin really well, so you won’t be left with any streaks of light, and instead have that dewy finish that only the very best highlighters give.
The blush shade is a mid pink that to be honest I could take or leave, but I use it quite a bit because I like using the trio together, thanks to a weird combination of laziness and OCD. It’s a very nice shade that’s very pigmented, so ease yourself in with this. Thankfully, it blends out really nicely, so if you do accidentally overdo it, it isn’t too much of a faff to correct. IT Cosmetics are a QVC UK exclusive and the Your Most Beautiful You Face Disc costs £36 which is quite a heft price tag, but you do get a really lovely big and fluffy brush with the disc – the IT Cosmetics brushes are really good; I tend to use their blusher brush for blush application more often than not – and it is a very big disc that I would predict would last at least 6 months of daily use, making this a bit of an investment product, but a very worthy one.
