I think Hyaluronic Acid is the most annoyingly named ingredient as it sounds like it’s going to be something that burns like Glycolic and Salicylic Acid (I say “burn” in a very crude sense – obviously the aforementioned acids actually just exfoliate with a little bit of a zing, if they’re burning then you’re probably using too high a strength!) whereas it’s actually a humectant that helps bind much-needed water to the skin, so it’s very helpful for hydrating the skin – especially skin types that are prone to dryness or dehydration – and it isn’t aggressive at all! The recently launched B. Confident Hyaluronic Acid Spritz has put this gorgeously hydrating and soothing ingredient into a spray form for whenever your skin is in need of a quick and easy refresh.
The B. Confident Hyaluronic Acid Spritz is literally as fabulous as it sounds; it’s a spray containing a high level of Hyaluronic Acid that’ll quickly hydrate skin and reduce tightness; I love to use a facial spray just before I use a serum as I find it gives me more of a chance to work the product in before it absorbs. I also like to use a spray after a shower when I find my skin can feel a bit tight – but I’m not ready to get stuck-in to a full skincare routine yet – and after a mask as a kind of setting spray to finish the treatment. Speaking of setting sprays, if you use a finishing powder or powder foundation that can look a bit flat, matte or powdery, a spritz of this will add just enough moisture to bring the skin back to life and make it look like skin again. The B. Confident Hyaluronic Acid Spritz is very well priced at £7.99 and is available at Superdrug here – link.
