Everything about Michael Kors Wonderlust screams balmy, Summer nights, from the lightly amber-hued bottle, to the tropical ombre packaging, this is pretty much a perfect Summer scent…so it’s a bit weird that I’m sharing it with you in October (late October, at that) but stay with me, as this is such a lovely, pretty fragrance that it needs to be investigated if you like a light, fruity floral that’s both flattering and feminine.
The Michael Kors Wonderlust bottle is heavy without being clunky, and has that luxe vibe about it that I always find present in understated fragrance bottles; this one is subtle yet effective courtesy of the soft, rounded edges and gold lid. The fragrance itself starts with a burst of peppery citrus thanks to the bergamot and pink pepper, but you can very quickly pick up on the almond milk which gives the top notes a creamier finish. These settle into the floral heart notes of Dianthus and Heliotrope, both of which make a refreshing change to more traditional floral notes such as jasmine and rose. The base notes of Benzoin and Sandalwood keep the fragrance just sharp enough and the dry down is a gentle yet slightly sharp floral that’s grown-up and a lovely choice if you like florals but don’t want anything too sweet.
I really like Wonderlust and I think it’s a very pretty perfume that screams “Summer” on first impressions, but the fragrance itself is definitely one you can wear all year, especially during the day as it settles into a light and delicate scent. It’s also available in three sizes (30ml, 5oml or the pictured 100ml) and there’s also a gift set – this perfume would make an absolutely beautiful Christmas present. Prices start at £42 for 30ml and you can find all three sizes at John Lewis here – link – or Boots here – link.

I tried this a couple of weeks ago and once sprayed, I had my days of youth screaming at me…
This to me, smells exactly like the old Exclamation i fragrance from the 90’s (clear bottle green lid/logo). Exactly the same. Never ever smelt anything near like it until now 🙂
