It’s no secret that I have a true penchant for palettes – the first clue being that I have a blog series dedicated to them – so it comes as no surprise that I have a lot of them; during my recent move, I was ruthless with the products I gave away and really stripped down my whole collection…apart from the palettes, as I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. The IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Palette came into my life last year and firmly established itself as one of my favourites, before quickly becoming my actual favourite, possibly ever, it really is that special.
The IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Palette is a gorgeous, soft, feminine palette containing 14 beautiful matte shades and one pearl shade that can be added to any of the matte shades to change it’s finish – firstly, how genius is that? It just makes so much sense and adds a brilliant level of versatility to the palette. The packaging is a lovely, pink pillow that really is unashamedly pretty and girly, but still grown-up.
Now on to the shades, which brilliantly span pale, fleshy base shades and include both warm and cool contour, liner and shadow shades so pretty much every kind of natural, nude look is covered. The shadows are smooth, buttery and a joy to work with. I start with Sheer Joy all over the lid which creates the most perfect base for all the other colours to blend beautifully into. Soft Light, Warmth, Soulful and Mocha are my most used everyday shades, and for something a bit more vampy I’ll add in Java or Iconic. If you prefer your shadow a little smokier then the grey leaning Iconic and Noir will help you along, and there’s even some purple greys from Violet and Midnight to allow for smoky eye variants.
The IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Palette is a QVC UK exclusive and it comes with the double-ended Heavenly Luxe Brush, which has a densely packed brush at one end and a soft blending brush at the other; it won’t allow you to create every kind of eye look but it’s certainly a very handy brush for everyday looks – it’s particularly well suited to this palette. Honestly, so much love for this joyful creation that’ll make a wonderful introduction for a make-up novice and an essential kit addition for anyone who loves their make-up. It’s £35 (plus £4.95 p+p) which I think is about right, but if you ever look at palettes and wonder whether it’ll get much use, trust me, this one will! Find it here – link.
