A few weeks ago I attended a talk with Paula Begoun, the person behind the Paula’s Choice brand, and to call it “fascinating” feels like an understatement; it was inspiring, educational, mind-opening and it left me with a renewed sense of joy for skincare. During the talk we were also introduced to two of the newest products in the Paula’s Choice range which I thought I’d show you today.
First up is the Resist Anti-Aging Smoothing Primer Serum SPF30 which is a serious multi-tasker that provides a wealth of skincare benefits. As you might have worked out, it’s a primer, so it has that slightly slippery, silicone-y feel when applied to the skin and it leaves skin looking and feeling smoother and ready for make-up. It also supplies an SPF of 30 which is brilliant, but the skincare elements are what excite me the most; it’s packed full of antioxidants such as green tea, licorice and chamomile which all work away at shielding skin from pollution whilst keeping skin hydrated and smooth under make-up – doesn’t it sound exactly like the sort of product you need to be wearing every day? It’s £31 here – link – but they also have a smaller size for £12 if you want to try before investing in the full-size.
The Resist Omega + Complex Serum is the product I’m most excited about as it’s another great all-rounder that can easily slot into your existing routine to give it a bit of a boost. It’s also a great choice if you like the idea of adding of adding the benefits of skincare oils and omegas to your routine without adding an actual oil, as this is very much a serum that’s lightweight and fluid on the skin; it feels hydrating and nourishing without any trace of heaviness or oiliness. As you’d expect, it’s got lots of skin-loving goodies in the formula such as flax and chia seeds as well as linoleic and linolenic acids, all of which helps to provide hydration and anti-inflammation in a product that is so gentle it can even go around the eyes. It’s £32 and, according to my press release it’s due to launch in April, but the website says May, so I’d keep an eye here – link – from late April onwards.
