It was roughly a year ago when the original Lancome Juicy Shakers launched with a huge surge of excitement due to their novel packaging, fun design, lovely finish and great collection of flattering shades. Today we see the launch of the newest member of the Juicy Shaker family, the Lancome Matte Shaker Liquid Lipstick.
Much like her sister, the Lancome Matte Shaker comes in cutesy, travel-friendly bottles with a sponge-applicator and see-through bottle that needs to be shaken to get the colour going. However, that’s pretty much where the similarities end, as the Lancome Matte Shakers provide strong hits of bold colour in a comfortable, matte finish. There are seven shades available, most of which are very bright, but there are a couple of more muted numbers for those who don’t fancy anything too bold.
The seven shades are Beige Vintage (270), Energy Peach (272), Magic Orange (186), Red’y in 5 (189), Kiss Me Cherie (374), Yummy Pink (379) and Pink Power (378). You apply in the same fashion as the original: give the bottle a really good shake, then apply with the sponge applicator (using the edge to get a defined line) and leave to dry, then a couple of minutes later you’ll have a matte finish that won’t budge. Below I’m wearing a slight ombre lip that I had applied at the launch (hence the messy hair and shiny face; I was prepared for a selfie, sorry!) with the main colour being Yummy Pink – a bold, vinyl-like pink and Pink Power – a deeper, fuchsia shade – has been blended around the edges.
As new lip collections go, the colours here are some of my favourites I’ve seen for a while and I don’t think there’s anything I wouldn’t wear; even the oranges are flattering shades and I like the fact that there’s such a good selection. The other two shades I have are Magic Orange – a lovely coral-leaning orange and Kiss Me Cherie, a pinky red that I’m really looking forward to trying out. Beige Vintage is the most nude of the seven that leans quite warm, Energy Peach is a peachier and less bright orange than Magic Orange and Red’y in 5 is a more traditional vamp red. The Lancome Matte Shaker Liquid Lipstick are £19.50 and a Selfridges exclusive here – link – until 26th April 2017 when they go nationwide.

Thanks so much!
Oh wow these look gorgeous! Much better than the first shakers that they brought out to be honest. I’ll have to look into these in the future. ^_^
The pink shade suits you so much. 🙂
