Little Known Box are a new (to me, at least) beauty box service offering a variety of ways to enjoy the typical beauty subscription services, so you can either go the traditional route of a monthly subscription for £14.95 (which I believe is all-in, but I’ll double check) or you can buy one off boxes and themed specials, so however you like your beauty box, they can cater.
The February 2017 Little Known Box features five products and the feature them is “spa night” although it’s a tad interpretive since there’s a mascara included and I’m not sure how that fits! There are six products in total, four of which are full-sized with the remaining two being good sized samples.
It was actually pretty tricky for me to break down my favourites as there’s usually pretty clear cut winners and losers, but I don’t think there’s anything in the box I wasn’t pleased to receive, so I’ve just broken them into two categories for the sake of the post. My very favourite inclusion is the beautifully presented Miss Patisserie Cupcake Bath Melt which smells and looks delightful – I can’t wait to chuck it in the bath with me! Rather controversially, I also like the look and sound of the Ecocare Organic Face Wipes since they’re infused with rose and chamomile which, to me, sounds like they’re going to be a joy to use. I also struggle to say ‘no’ to a new mascara to try, so I’m very happy to see the Medusa’s Makeup Mascara included in the box.
The Fruu Lip Balms are cute inclusions with each box receiving one of five flavours; I received Pomegranate which is a refreshing deviation from the more traditional lip balm flavours. Next up is the Monu Skin Recovery Balm which is aimed at stressed skin and I think is a pretty handy product to have around as we all have skin that freaks out occasionally. Finally, there’s a dinky little Friendly Soap Hair & Body Bar which is well timed as I’m going through a bit of a soap bar phase at the moment and this company sounds fab.
