I didn’t have especially high expectations for the TIGI Bed Head Queen Beach Salt Infused Texture Spray – which is silly really as I absolutely love TIGI products – but I think I still have a slightly preconceived idea of what a salt spray will do to your hair; leave it looking crispy and grubby, making it difficult to work with, need to be washed ASAP and dry hair out, but the TIGI Bed Head Queen Beach Salt Infused Texture Spray is, thankfully, none of those things.
It can be used on damp or dry hair, but I feel it works best on damp hair. In the above look, I scrunched in quite a bit to my damp, defiantly poker straight hair and twisted four buns that I secure with an Invisibobble for around an hour, then I took them out and went to sleep. Hair was still a little damp but I was tired! As you can see, there’s plenty of texture and a gentle wave running through my hair, with no clammy or crunchy feeling, in fact my hair feels surprisingly soft and has held good shine. The effects lasted the whole way through between washes and interestingly, for the first time in a while, my hair didn’t start getting greasy roots 24 hours after washing, which is very helpful as I’ve found that a bit of a struggle to address. I was pretty generous with my application of this, but I think I could probably get away with quite a lot more for a dramatic effect, as it certainly doesn’t feel ‘producty’ at all. I did use this on dry hair but it didn’t make a huge difference, however, as I mentioned, my hair is extremely straight – it looks straightened when I’ve left it to air dry – so any product that gives it any kind of texture is doing an impressive job! It’s £8.25 here – link.
