Estée Lauder recently launched a collection of cushion stick highlighters and bronzers, the Double Wear Highlighting Cushion Sticks and Double Wear Radiant Bronze Cushion Sticks, which are handy, all-in-one products that allow for easy application. All of the Cushion Sticks provide long wear (8 hours) in a sheer (but buildable) formula that’s hydrating and oil-free.
The Highlighting Cushion Sticks comes in three shades: Champagne Glow (cool toned), Peach Glow (warmer and more gold toned) and Rose Glow (pink and a little cooler). The Radiant Bronze Cushion Sticks come in two shades – Light/Medium and Medium/Deep. The application works in a twist-up fashion, but what’s particularly useful is that you can twist product back down again, so if you end up twisting too much up on to the sponge, you just twist the other way and the product goes back in.
The Highlighting Cushion Sticks are my favourite of the two launches, mostly because I don’t often wear bronzer, and if I do it’ll be in powder format as I wear so much base. However, if you’re someone who can get away with a more natural base, the Radiant Bronze Cushion Sticks are beautiful formulas; creamy, slightly dewy and very flattering. The Highlighting Cushion Sticks are a really quick and easy way to create a hit of light and add glow to the face – I really love the fact that the three shades offer varying levels of warmth depending on your preference.
Both Cushion Sticks have been really well designed and are easy to clean as the cushion pops off so you don’t have to risk diluting the product. The cushion is soft but firm, so you can stamp and buff product into the skin, but the edge is also firm enough for more precision application. The products I have are PR samples which is why they don’t have their full and fancy packaging yet, but other than branding, they are the same product. Both products are £28 each and you can find the Highlighting Cushion Sticks here – link – and the Radiant Bronze Cushion Sticks here – link.
