The L’Oréal Paris x Balmain Paris Color Riche collaboration is an exciting collection bringing leaders of the fashion and beauty world together, to create a collection of 12 lipsticks, edited into three ‘stories’ which are: Rock (blue packaging), Couture (black packaging) and Glamazone (green packaging). The shade list is incredibly diverse, whilst the formula is matte. The campaign is fronted by a fantastic mix of strong, aspirational women, each of whom align to one of the specific shades. Each story contains a star shade that most accurately and prominently represents that particular story. Here’s a look at the full shade line-up and corresponding models, broken down into each of the three stories:

648 GLAMAZONE: Luma Grothe

This collaboration is a really interesting one, adding an edginess to the usual L’Oreal Paris offerings. The packaging, to me, looks a lot more like the sort of thing you’re far more likely to find at a beauty counter than a high street stand, and I really like the fact that each quad of lipstick has it’s own little vibe and story. I also love the fact that the shade range is sooo diverse, with browns, purples and blues sitting alongside more traditional nudes and pinks – blue lipstick appears to be having a real moment, so the timing of these types of shades arriving is perfect! The L’Oréal Paris x Balmain Paris Color Riche Collection hasn’t launched yet, but there isn’t too long to wait as the launch is planned to coincide with Paris Fashion Week SS18 in September 2017.
