When I first heard of the Birchbox x Vogue box for November, I was extremely excited, as how could it not be a good one? The products are all featured in the Vogue 100 Beauty Hall of Fame so obviously I was expecting some corkers. I would describe the November 2017 Birchbox as solid: nothing too overly exciting but nothing too terrible either.
As you can see, you get five products, all of which are minis other than the Birchbox Brush Cleaner. It’s great that all brands are well known, but it is a shame that there wasn’t one more full-sized product. Maybe I’m just being picky, but I think I was expecting big things from a box with Vogue on the cover!
The Benefit Hoola sample is a decent size and will definitely last you quite a while. I’m happy to see it included as it really is a brilliant bronzer, and I’ve recently got into bronzer again (weirdly, since it’s November) so this is a handy arrival. Also rather strangely, I was hunting down my silicone brush cleaner today for my annoyingly-hard-to-clean tarte The Buffer, so the inclusion of the Birchbox Brush Cleaner will be useful. The James Read Overnight Tan Sleep Mask Tan Face also sounds like it’s going to be a really good product, so I’m looking forward to giving it a whirl.
I really love L’Occitane en Provence Shea Butter Hand Cream but I’m disappointed it’s such a small sample – one for the handbag I think. The final product is the Percy & Reed Smooth, Sealed and Sensational Volumising No Oil Oil which I’ve tried previously but found my hair didn’t respond very well to it, hence it’s low place on my list. The Birchbox November 2017 box is available now and you can find it here – link.
