Lovely, lovely L’Occitane have released a new range of skincare that’s just what the doctor ordered; the L’Occitane Aqua Réotier collection is all about moisture, promising 24 hours of hydration with a range that’s built around three key ingredients: Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin and calcium-rich Réotier water from the Réotier springs in Provence, which is apparently 10x more mineral rich than other French thermal springs.
The L’Occitane Aqua Réotier Skincare consists of five products: Water Cleansing Gel, Moisture Prep Essence, Fresh Moisturising Mist and two types of moisturiser that you can select depending on your skin needs/preferences: Ultra Thirst-Quenching Gel and Ultra Thirst-Quenching Cream. The Moisture Prep Essence is probably my favourite of the four products I have, as it’s a lovely, lightweight gel that leaves skin feeling hydrated without any greasiness. The Fresh Moisturising Mist is a little too fragranced for me, but it’s a nice spray that provides a quick hit of refreshing hydration.
Out of the two moisturisers, I actually would struggle to say which I prefer as they’re both lovely. The gel is light but very hydrating and feels great on the skin, especially when it’s hot outside. The cream is more of a gel-cream than a traditional creamy cream, but it’s definitely more hydrating than the gel making it ideal for those who are more prone to dryness. Having said that, they’re both pretty light and I think, when used in conjunction with the essence, could easily provide a tailor-made level of hydration for most skin types. The gel cleanser is £19, the essence £22, the mist £14 and both moisturisers are £28 each. If you fancy fully committing a buying the whole routine, the sets are available with either moisturiser for £59, giving you a saving of £24. Finally, if you just want to dip your toe in before going in for the full routine, there’s a fabulous discovery collection for £15. Everything can be found here – link.
