The Jasmine & Neroli Luxury Face Oil from the Rodin Olio Lusso range is one of those products that’s developed cult status, so when I was offered the chance to try it, I couldn’t wait, especially as I’ve fallen heavily back in love with oils recently as they are so good for my skin. The Rodin Olio Lusso collection is a luxury range of beauty products covering most elements that sit under the beauty umbrella; think gorgeous hand creams and beautiful oils for face and body.
The Rodin Olio Lusso Facial Cleansing Powder comes beautifully presented in a glass bottle that reminds me of a vintage medicine decanter. Inside you’ll find white grains that can be used in several ways: you start by dispensing a small amount into your hand, then how much water and lather you create will dictate how the product works, so a small amount of both will leave you with a grainy foam that can exfoliate gently, whilst a more thorough lather gives a mild foaming face wash. I prefer the former for a weekly exfoliation that leaves skin feeling and looking smoother, making it particularly great for a morning exfoliation to get skin ready for make-up. It’s £32 here – link.
If you’re like me and you love the smell of jasmine, you will absolutely love the Rodin Olio Lusso Jasmine & Neroli Luxury Face Oil as it smells beautifully of fresh jasmine, a scent that you’ll continue to pick up throughout the day as you wear it – it isn’t overpowering or too intense, it’s just really lovely for a jasmine lover. The oil itself is on the lighter side, but you can layer it up to give more hydration in particular places, making it a great choice for combination skin types. It’s a really good day oil as it soaks in quickly and doesn’t leave skin looking greasy, plus it plays well with other skincare and works really well under make-up, in fact, both these skincare products give skin a really base for a morning routine.
