I recently posted a little introduction to some of the newest Models Own makeup launches, and I mentioned that a few products had especially caught my eye, including the Models Own Brow Tattoo Kit, which I thought I’d share with you today.
The Models Own Brow Tattoo Kit contains a duo of liquid-to-powder finishes along with an absolutely awesome, double-ended brush, both of which are encased in a handy, sturdy box with mirror. The product itself has a lid to keep the packaging clean and tidy, which is a nice touch. The brush folds up to fit neatly next to the product pot, making this a really well designed product all-round.
There are two colourways for the kit, Blonde and Brunette, and I have Brunette, which is definitely more suited to my colourings, although the darker shade is a little too dark, yet the lighter shade it too warm – having said that, I still use the lighter shade as I can definitely get away with it, but if they released a taupe/cooler colourway then this really would be the most perfect brow set.
The brush is absolutely brilliant and the best brush I’ve ever used for brows. The spoolie end is dense yet soft, so it grabs and grips every hair, plus it blends out colour perfectly. The brush end is also dense, so it really allows you to work colour into the brow and give a really clean, neat and natural finish. I use this as a kit most days, but when I’m going for a stronger brow and need a better colour match, I’ll still grab this brush to use with other products.
As the colours aren’t the best match for me, I use this naturally to just add a little bit of definition to the overall brow and lightly fill in any gaps. If I’ve got time, I’ll use the lighter shade to fill in the majority of the brow and go in with the darker shade on the outer third, but most days I’ll just use the lighter shade all over, as I have in the pictures above. The product stays in place really well and doesn’t budge until you’re ready to remove it; don’t be put off by the word “tattoo” as this definitely comes off with a standard cleanser. It’s £8.99 very well spent – if even just to get your hands on the handiest brow brush ever. Check it out here – link.
