Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing some great products for keeping cool blonde hair ashy, as it’s such an ongoing battle and it is hard to find products that work. I’ve got several features planned, but I wanted to share with you a review of the Fudge Clean Blonde Violet range as it’s so good! There are four products in the collection, a shampoo and conditioner duo, plus a mousse and a spray.
The Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Shampoo and Conditioner are *amazing* and I really look forward to using them, as not only do they completely cancel out all the brassiness and yellow tones, they’re actually really good products without taking into account their colour-correcting, as they leave my hair feeling soft, bouncy, very clean and that type of “salon wash” feel you get when you visit your stylist. The shampoo is extremely pigmented and will stain your hands if you don’t wash them straight away, but it’s a small price to pay for such an intense product. The conditioner is much lighter in tone, and just finishes off the colour-correction whilst adding a touch of hydration. I’m a total convert to this duo and I love the fact that you get so much for your buck too – each bottle is 300ml and both products are £11.16 each: you can find the shampoo here – link – and the conditioner here – link.
The Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Xpander Foam is another great product that’s particularly exciting because you don’t find a lot of products that’ll colour-correct whilst also providing a styling element. This mousse promises a big hit of volume in a purple, ash-restoring foam, and that’s pretty much what it delivers. It gives hair a good dose of thickness and guts, making it ideal for anyone who really wants to keep every hint of yellow out of their platinum locks. It doesn’t appear to be out yet but I’ll update with stockist info when it is. Finally, the Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Tri-Blo Spray is the only product I haven’t tried yet, mainly because the last time I tried a product so densely coloured, it got absolutely everywhere and stained everything, so I’m a bit nervous of such a product, but I might give it a when I’m away and all the surfaces are wipe-clean! Much like the mousse, it’s a multi-purpose product that tones brassiness, whilst also adding heat protection to hair and smoothing the cuticles. It’s £10.76 here – link.
