I was so excited about the Youth Lab CC Complete Cream as it’s taking CC Creams back to the old style, where they provide lots of lovely benefits in a product that’s relatively high coverage, leaving you with skin that not only looks perfected, but is also being treated on a collection of levels, thanks to skincare and SPF. The Youth Lab CC Complete Cream comes in two variants, for oily skin or normal to dry skin. Both products contain active ingredients (differing slightly for each formula) alongside UVA and UVB protection.
I decided to go for the Youth Lab CC Complete Cream for normal to dry skin as I don’t really get on with products for oily skin. On first application, the product felt creamy, hydrating and relatively thick, but easy to blend – very much in keeping with more traditional CC Creams. I was excited, but my excitement quickly diminished as the shade is far, far too dark and warm for my very pale skin – I’d say it firmly sits in the medium category, which is a real shame as it’s going to be a struggle for most people to use, unless you’re bang in the middle of the skin tone spectrum. It was a huge disappointment as everything about this product appears lovely on first glance, but it was so dark that I couldn’t really wear it long enough to give it the benefit of the doubt. So in conclusion, definitely hunt a sample down if you think you might be able to work the shade as it’s a glorious product, just not great for us pale girls! Both products are £22.90 and can be found at Boots here – link.
