I desperately tried to get all the Holiday Heroes content up and running before I left for my actual holiday, as I knew how rubbish it would be to talk about products great for a holiday after mine had finished, but hey ho, here we are! I’ve got a few more posts focusing on great holiday bits and bobs, starting with this one that showcases some fabulous and travel-friendly make-up brush sets. I think make-up brushes are a bit of a pain to travel with, so these types of sets are very handy.
Okay so the Kiko Jelly Jungle 4in1 Eye Brush isn’t technically set, but it’s such a great product that I thought I’d include it anyway. It’s literally a double-ended brush, with each end reversible, so you get four brush options in one slim and easy product that’s perfect for travel. It was part of the Jelly Jungle collection which was limited edition, but it does keep popping up on eBay, so well worth keeping an eye out for.
The Look Good Feel Better Mini Masterclass Brush Set contains a trio of brush essentials: the Mini Powder Brush, Mini Concealer Brush and Mini Eyeshadow Brush, giving you a very basic set that you could get by with if you really want to travel light. I really liked this set as the brushes were well-made, and whilst they’re mini, they didn’t feel too small and awkward to use. The set is £20 here – link.
The MASQD Face Tools – The Five Minute Face Set is a total bargain that’s really well designed for travel. You get four double-ended brushes that come in a travel-friendly tin, so you really can save a lot of space whilst preserving your brushes. The set includes the Foundation Brush, Concealer Brush, Blush Brush, Contour Brush, Eye Colour Brush, Eyeliner Brush, Lip Colour Brush and Lip Liner Brush, all of which costs £14, so great for any money savvy travellers. Find it here – link.
If you’re on Twitter for any time at all, you’ll probably have seen a Dave Lackie competition pop up on your timeline, mostly because he does the most fantastic, beauty-related giveaways. Around Christmas time last year I won the Mac Snowball Brush Set which was very exciting as I love Mac brushes! The set contains the Powder Brush, Pointed Foundation Brush, All Over Shadow Brush, Smudging Liner Brush and Brow Groomer Brush. I absolutely love the design and it makes me think of Christmas. The set was a very quick sell out, but I’ve found it on Amazon for £49.90 here – link – which is only about a fiver more than it went for originally.
Finally, here are the brushes I took with me. I cherry picked all the bits I thought I would need from the sets, then I put them all in the Mac Snowball purse to travel.
