The Birchbox October 2018 box is all about winding down, relaxing and getting ready for Autumn, which is very much where I’m at – the Indian Summer we’re alleged due can bugger off – bring on the sweater weather and Halloween and brilliant Winter Telly.
In the October 2018 Birchbox you get six products, with a fairly good mixm, including a couple of bits of skincare and one make-up product too.
I was surprised by how much I like the Schmidt’s Natural Deodorant in Bergmaot + Lime, but it’s such a lovely, fresh and zingy scent that really jumps out at you – I love the smell of limes when done right, and this one is really lovely. The Daily Concepts Mult-Functional Charcoal Soap Sponge looks and sounds incredibly interesting – it’s an exfoliating sponge soaked in a charcoal cleanser, so a great product for travel as it’s very much a 2in1. You really can’t beat a bit of Winky Lux, so I’m happy to see their Strobing Balm in Radiant Pink included in the Birchbox October 2018 box, which is another multi-use product for adding a touch of light and colour.
The BeautyPro Thermotherapy masks were the product that subscribers got to pick this month, with the choice of the Gold Foil Mask or Silver Foil Mask depending on what they fancied – I’m keen to try both as I’ve really started getting into sheet masks again recently. The Amika Soulfood Nourishing Mask is a nice-enough-sounding masks for hair. Finally there’s the Lumene Hydration Recharge Overnight Cream – which I’m sure I bought myself a while ago – that’s only a sachet size, so you won’t really get enough of a chance to work out if it’s any good for your skin type, but the Birchbox insert does make it clear that it’s an extra and not one of the main products.
