I love pretty much everything about the Glossybox October 2018, which is a Halloween special and comes in two varieties, Trick or Treat. I have the Trick edition which is very make-up heavy – I always prefer the make-up heavy boxes so I’m very happy! It’s also well worth pointing out that this box is completely cruelty-free, which is awesome.
As you can see, the contents of the October 2018 Glossybox is cracking, with four full-sized make-up items and a decent sized skincare product too. The value of the box is really good, but more importantly, the actual products are very enticing and I don’t think there’s a thing in here that I’m not happy to see.
I love the Sleek i-Divines and this is the Au Natural Palette which could not be more up my street – a collection of mostly cool-leaning neutrals that are really wearable and perfect for Autumn. My camera has brought out the yellow tones and made a couple of shades look almost bright yellow, but they are not – everything is nice and natural. As you can see, my MUA Luxe Bronze & Sculpt Contour Kit did not travel well, which is a terrible shame as this is such a fab product, with a bronzer on top and a really natural looking contour shade beneath. I had to chuck mine but I will aim to pick up another, as it looks great. The only skincare item is the This Works In Transit Camera Close-Up which is a 3-in-1 mask, moisturiser and primer. I’m looking forward to trying it.
The Luna by Luna Cosmetics Translucent Powder is a loose setting powder that comes with a puff, although they recommend using a beauty blender over the top of concealer, which is something I will definitely try. The final product is the Illamasqua Antimatter LIpstick in shade Energy, which is at the bottom of my list purely because I’m not going to get the opportunity to use a purple lipstick, alas, but I’m impressed to see it included in the box, especially with Halloween arriving in a few weeks.
