I’ve had the Malin + Goetz Brightening Enzyme Mask for quite some time – the packaging pictured is the sample packaging and not the final look – and I’m only featuring it now because I initially wasn’t planning to feature it at all; all the Malin + Goetz products I’ve tried have been great, so I was eager to give this one a go as soon as I got my hands on it, but I found myself disappointed with the result: skin felt dry and not especially smooth, so I wrote it off as one of those products that didn’t agree with my skin…
…then I decided to give it another go again recently and it was a whole new experience; skin felt and looked glowing, smooth and refined. The product works by offering a mix of chemical and manual exfoliation in a gel formula, with pomegranate and pumpkin enzyme alongside botanical AHAs, so you get a gentle yet thorough exfoliation in a light gel that feels cooling and refreshing on the skin. I know that I was surprised that you’re only supposed to leave it on for 5 minutes, so it’s possible that I overdid it on my first use, or that my skin was just being particular difficult that time. Who knows? I would definitely recommend this for anyone with sensitive skin who might struggle with more traditional AHA products, as this is very gentle, yet surprisingly effective for such a light formula. It’s £48 for 60ml, which is definitely on the pricier side, but you will get a good few uses out of a single tub. Find it here – link.
