As promised in my previous post (my introduction to the newest members of the Elemis Superfood family here) I wanted to share a full review of the new Elemis Superfood Vital Veggies Mask as I think it’s the mask that’s most relevant to my skin type, especially at the moment, where my skin is relatively blemish-free and balanced, so instead of seeking problem-solving treatment masks, I’m preferring things that’ll boost my already okay skin, and help take it to the next level, which I think is exactly what the Superfood Vital Veggies Mask is designed to do. Much like the rest of the Elemis Superfood range, the Vital Veggies mask is packed full skin-loving joy thanks to the Chiad Seed Oils which provide deep and long-lasting hydration thanks to the Omega fatty acids, Passionfruit Acids which are rich in Vitamin C and provide a light, brightening exfoliation and Wheatgrass Extract, which is packed full of vitamins, minerals and enzymes which work with the other ingredients to lock-in that hydrated and healthy-looking glow.
The Elemis Superfood Vital Veggies Mask is a creamy product that you apply and leave on, although it doesn’t set or dry out, so it’s easy to remove. The recommended time is 10 minutes – presumably because there’s a mild exfoliating element – but I left this on for 40 minutes in my extra long Sunday bath and I didn’t find it to cause any issues. What I love most about the new Superfood arrivals which I think is particularly exemplified in this mask, is that there’s a real old-school pampering vibe about the products; they all tap into the multi-sensory experience, so they smell fantastic, feel great and provide results. I found this mask to be brilliant at boosting my glow and hydration levels without leaving skin feeling suffocated or overly treated, thanks to the gentle formula. This is one of those masks that would suit pretty much anyone, but I think it’s particularly ideal for those who want to improve their skincare routine but can’t find the time/be bothered, as this provides a multitude of benefits in a quick and easy application. It’s £30 here – link.
