The Birchbox March 2019 contents is a real mixed bag, with a couple of superstars and a couple of ‘meh’s’. I do like the theme and concept of the box, though, which is called “You Go Girl” and is named as such as the products are built around a multi-tasking theme…which would probably work better if the products were all multi-tasking, but there you go!
There are six products in the March 2019 Birchbox, five main products and one extra. There’s a good mix of skincare, make-up and body, and I think they’ve got the balance just right. Obviously beauty box contents are incredibly subjective as there are bits in this box that have arrived at the perfect time for me – one in particular I was about to buy – so I think the saying “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure” is spot on right now. Not saying that this is a trash box, just that there are things I don’t like that many would love.
With that in mind, let’s start with my Birchbox March 2019 superstars, leading with the Chella Eyebrow Defining Gel in Clear: I was going to pick up a clear brow gel this week, so how about that for timing? The Beauty Crop You Go Girl Bronzer Compact (in either Tanneries or Sardinia Sand) is a dinky, travel-sized bronzer that can be used for eyes, cheeks and face. Surprise, surprise, the Generation Clay Ultraviolet Brightening Clay Mask is high up on my list, as I do love me a good mask.
I really feel like I should be giving the BOD Glitter Body Scrub more a fair deal, but I’m so not a fan of glitter in anything other than make-up. I like the fragrance options though: Pink Salt and Coconut or Brown Sugar and Honey. The Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse Boost Gel Cream is quite a nice product to be included, but it’s low on my list, purely because I wont get to use it as I don’t think it’s really suited to my routine. Finally we have the extra, which is a sample of the Charlotte Tilbury Scent of a Dream fragrance – I’m a bit grumpy about fragrance samples in beauty boxes, but they have made it clear it’s an extra, so I’ll pipe down…
