I know, sorry, more Beauty Pie, but it’s win win for me as I like to talk about them and you seem to like to read about them, so here we are with more Beauty Pie love. Most people rave about the Beauty Pie skincare, whereas I’m much more into their make-up and there are at least three products of theirs that I use on a daily basis (do get yourself the newBlush Trio that I reviewed here – it’s just amazing) but I decided to try a couple of their newer skincare launches, starting with the Beauty Pie Dr Glycolic Skin Perfecting Glow Toner.
The Beauty Pie Dr Glycolic Skin Perfecting Glow Toner is an acid toner with Glycolic Acid as the lead ingredient – no surprise there, considering the name – at a percentage of 9.2%. The formula also contains 1% Niacinamide for what I call “pore maintenance,” since it isn’t going to shrink them at all, but it will help with evening skintone and texture, which can give the illusion of smaller pores. There’s also 1.5% natural fruit AHAs and these all come together to provide a surprisingly fabulous acid toner that is just strong enough to give you that acid tingle, without turning you into a sensitive tomato (if that is your sort of thing, I can recommend some products to take you there…) so skin looks and really, really feels smoother, more refined and generally better. I use this every other day and swap it out with my retinol (don’t ever use them together) and when I use this I follow with a Hyaluronic Acid serum (currently the NIOD one from this set) and maybe an oil if my skin is feeling like it might be a little parched, but often just a gentle cleanse, this toner and the HA serum is all I need for a fabulous morning glow. How’s that for simple skincare? The Beauty Pie Dr Glycolic Skin Perfecting Glow Toner is £30 for non-members and currently £9.80 for members.
Now this definitely sounds right up my street! xx

So you can now buy their stuff even as a non-member? Or did I misinterpret the “price for non-members” thing?

So sorry for the delay! You can buy everything on there as a non-member, but it’s a lot more expensive – I just include both prices in case someone fancies making a one-off purchase xx
I’m a member of Beauty Pie, and this is the next product I want to try. I do love a glycolic toner!

I hope you really love it! xx
I like using toner:)
How have I never heard of Beauty Pie?! Need to check them out. I love that this toner won’t be too strong – i had a bad experience with pixi glow tonic – i must have applied it to my face whilst something else was still on it and it just FREAKED OUT.

Definitely check them out, they are fab! I’m not a huge fan of Glow Tonic (although I LOVE Pixi generally, just not the Glow Tonic!) but this one is much more gentle and doesn’t anger my skin at all xx
Looks fantastic! <3

Does this get rid of hyperpigmentation
HI Jason,
I think anything with a decent amount of acid will help a bit with hyperpigmentation, but it depends on how bad it is – I had really bad marks from previous breakouts and the only thing that made a considerable difference was Hydroquinone, which I believe you can only get on prescription, but it’s well worth it if you have bad marks. If you don’t though and just have a few darker patches or mild marks then using an acid regularly will definitely help, and this toner is a very good all-rounder.
Thanks for the reply il start using and see what happens
No probs, good luck!
