Philip Kingsley is easily my favourite haircare brand; it’s just such a reliably decent and solid range that provides easy-to-understand product collections that you can mix and match to find your perfect combination…and don’t even get me started on the amazing Elasticizer, which every single hair type would benefit hugely from using – it’s just one of those amazing products that gives strength to hair in a way no other product (that I’m familiar with) can. I could write an essay on my love for Elasticizer, but today I want to share with you a new duo, the Philip Kingsley Pure Blonde Colour-Correcting Weekly Shampoo and Mask.
The colour of my hair is quite strange, as it’s very mousy, but as I have it bleached, it constantly wants to warm itself up, but I want to keep it ashy as possible, so I’m always on the hunt for colour-correcting products that not only work, but don’t impact the condition of my hair – correcting products can often be quite drying, and since I’ve grown my hair longer, I’ve become very aware of just how easily my hair can dry out. The Philip Kingsley Pure Blonde Colour-Correcting Weekly Shampoo and Mask tackle a number of issues, although first and foremost it’s a duo designed to balance warmer tones in hair and cool them right down – this is achieved via intense purple pigment that cancels out the yellow.
Both products are a strong purple colour and both are designed to be used as a weekly treatment, however, they are such good products that don’t strip the hair at all, so you can definitely use them a couple of times a week if you’re like me and like hair to stay incredibly cool-toned, although I note that Philip Kingsley has a duo aimed for regular use too. I love the fact that these are designed as an intense weekly treatment, and they really do knock out all the warmth whilst treating hair to an intense conditioning treat too, so perfect for anyone with ashy blonde hair, but especially those of us with bleached hair that need something that’ll provide both a hit of moisture alongside colour-correction. Both products are available in three sizes (another great thing about the brand, so you don’t have to commit to a full-sized investment until you’re ready) with the shampoo starting at £11.50 for the 75ml and the conditioning mask starting at £15 for the same size.

I’ve got to step up my hair care game this year. I’m always so lazy in that department.

I’m exactly the same – and now my hair is too long for laziness which is very annoying as some days I really can’t be bothered! xx
These sound really lovely for blonde hair! I really need to try more of their products xx

This made my bleached hair grey and dull. Disappointed.
Found both of these products, really dried my hair out and after using them I needed to do a deep conditioner
